Program Notes:
This work creates a typical samba atmosphere and is divided into three sections. In part one, small instruments establish a dialog. In part two a theme is presented by the mallets in dialog with the percussion instruments. The third part is a batucada, a traditional and energetic kind of samba played in the Brazilian carnival parades.
